Comedian Alexei Sayle has been promoting “Volunteers Week 2005″ which starts on 1st June.

“It’s important to do something more than a casual gesture, like buying a charity record. That’s egotistical. For me, volunteering is a good way of putting something back and it’s practical.” Comedian Alexei Sayle volunteers at the Greenwich Peninsula Ecology Park

Alexei works nearby and often unwinds by helping out with whatever tasks are needed at the ecology park. He may do weeding, digging, helping with plants, or anything else that is needed.
