Interflora’s slightly odd date reminder service
Firstly, here’s a brief reminder that if you need to be preparing anything for tomorrow, February 14th, then you’d better make sure you get it sorted today, particularly if it involves deliveries or posting.
And now on to the slightly bizarre nature of Interflora’s reminder service…
Once you’ve placed an order with Interflora, they give you the opportunity to save that date and receive an email reminder from the company a few days before next year’s event. Great marketing idea, and quite useful too, even if you choose not to use their services again.
There are two lists to select the type of event and the relationship. So, for example, you could select “Birthday” and “Mother”, or “Wedding Anniversary” and “Wife”.
What’s slightly odd is that “Funeral” is one of the events.
Funeral?
Since when were funerals for the same person a recurring event?
Odd.

A bit tenuous but it could be that you’re sending flowers to those “left behind” and you want reminding of that, but then funeral wouldn’t be the best tag to give it, sympathy might be better… You could even be sending flowers to yourself to take them to a grave etc?

some peopl like to lay flowers on the grave or in memory at the anniversary of the funeral. Although strange sounding its ver popular. At our website http://www.mansionhouseflorists.co.uk we have a simular service we call the Birthday & Anniversary Club it on the main page as “Join Our Club” you can choose any type of event and add a reminder we allow any type of event, frequency & offer email, post & telephone reminders. Admittedly the funeral reminder is not on our site – the question to ask should it be ?
