I am an experienced freelance writer, programmer, web designer, photographer and musician with a technology and admin background in corporate and charity organisations.
Work
- I first worked for BAeSEMA (a division of British Aerospace) as an analyst programmer from 1996-98;
- offered administrative support to a local church (1998-2000);
- became a web programmer for a Kingston-based design company (2000-2001);
- database administrator and supporter liaison for a human-rights charity (2001-2003);
- various freelance database maintenance roles for charities (2002-2004);
- fundraising database executive for the British Heart Foundation (2004-2007);
- freelance writer for various companies (2007-present)
My roles have included a wide range of administrative, technical and people skills, including the use of a wide range of software packages, programming languages, database systems, customer and colleague liaison, and communication of technical concepts in jargon-free language.
Creative
Although I have strong technical ability, I am also creative in the fields of music and photography. Where appropriate, I have used these media in other work.
Personal
I am 35, married, and live in south-west London. I enjoy the outdoors, nature, music, photography, food, and good coffee.
