If it ain't broke… a shin-kicking Olympics

A bid has been launched to include the bizarre sport of shin-kicking in the 2012 Olympics.
The Cotswold Olimpicks currently hosts the contest, which involves two players filling their trouser legs with straw then kicking each other with steel toe-capped boots.
The Shin-Kicking Association of Great Britain – motto “If it ain’t broke, yer not kickin’ hard enough” – wants Olympic recognition for the “sport”.
