Duncan's at it again
I’m not suggesting everyone should be “PC” (ie hate that) but there’s ways of talking that make points without completely writing off an entire system or nation.
Take Supporting Google in China in which Duncan describes China, just 25 years ago (gasp!), as “a backwards nation”.
Hmm, by whose standards?
Sure he then goes on to say that “Today China is a vibrant country that embraces world trade and continues to open its doors to others.” – despite only 25 years ago being “backwards”, eh?
And then he closes his commentary (which in sentiment I agree with) by telling us “I don’t like Commies one darn bit”
Oh well, that’s nice to know. That’ll do a lot for international relations.
