Introduction

I help individuals and organisations build clean, simple, easy-to-use, accessible web sites that highlight great content, engage visitors, build customer or supporter loyalty, and increase sales.

My Philosophy

Modern web sites should be clearly branded with a consistent design, fast and efficient, accessible to all, easy to maintain, and where the visitor is a priority not an afterthought.

I design web sites that:

• reflect the personality and ethos of an individual
• extend the ‘bricks and mortar’ company branding to the web
• are efficiently coded and adhere to current web standards
• are accessible by a wide variety of mobile devices, and by those with disabilities
• integrate with other systems, databases and commerce solutions
• can be easily maintained by the end user
• visitors can clearly understand the purpose of, making them more likely to become loyal customers or supporters

How I Work

I like to have at least one face-to-face meeting with the client at the outset, to build a rapport and trust and to gain a better understanding (on both sides) of what the project brief is. This can easily be arranged for local (London-based) clients.

For all other clients, and on an ongoing basis, I can arrange consultations and progress reports by email, telephone, Skype, or other method as appropriate.

I provide ongoing progress reports, clearly explaining project progress in non-technical language.

I will not attempt to oversell or encourage particular features simply because they are the latest ‘buzz’.

Quotes

I work at a fixed per-hour rate or quote for an entire project, based on mutual agreement at the outset.

Ongoing maintenance is charged at an hourly rate.

Charities and other not-for-profit groups are eligible for a discount from my standard business rates.
